Emancipation and Freedom

Juneteenth marks the day when enslaved African Americans in Texas were finally emancipated, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It symbolizes the end of slavery and the beginning of freedom for millions of people, signifying a crucial milestone in the fight for civil rights and human dignity.
